Illustration Friday - Cultivate Friendship

This is my first entry to Illustration Friday.
Two opportunities to illustrate children's books have come my way recently. Both stories would be better suited to a style that is not cartoony, so I've experimented with watercolour and illustrating in a more realistic style. Here you have Best Friends. I really enjoyed painting their eyes!

    Nice job--especially with the eyes. I don't know that I've seen your "cartoony" style, but you handle this realistic style very well.

    Both girls look vivacious from the shine in their eyes but also their expressions, hair and skin tone are really nicely done!
