Butterfly and Dinosaur Paintings

I was commissioned by a friend to paint these two paintings for her neighbors' little boy and girl. The dinosaur painting is quite different than any I've ever done before. I really like how the colours turned out. I do need to fix the lettering at the top because I didn't plan for them but my friend requested putting verses on them, so I tried to fit them in. I will re-do the butterfly though. Something doesn't quite jive with me, not sure what it is.

Here's the finished Log House painting

This painting took me roughly 8 hours to finish. I'm really glad it turned out how I wanted it to!

Before I get famous

This is a painting I was commissioned to do of a couple's log house in Woodridge, MB. It's acrylic on canvas. This is an unfinished piece, I still have to add the details to the house and the trees in front. I'm planning to finish it this week.

I got this commission when I was drawing caricatures at the Sunshine Nursury Craft Sale. I was asked if I could draw anything other than faces, and how much I would charge for a painting (18" x 24") of their log house. I said, at this point probably only $300. He replied "In other words I better have it done before you get famous!"
